Pokemon Platinum was introduced as an upgraded version of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. It followed the same core gameplay and graphics that the other two had.
Pokemon Platinum employed some new features such as online wifi mini games for up to 20 players to participate in. Platinum also included a battle recorder that allows you to record online and offline battles to watch later.
